Padres Blowout Marlins

Last night, the Padres offense woke up and when off on the Marlins. The scoring started with back to back homers. The first was a 3 run homer (396 feet) to right field by Orlando Hudson. Then Kyle Blanks hit a solo shot to left field (401 feet). It was 4-0 till the bottom of the 4th when Logan Forsythe stepped to the plate and hit a RBI double. Three batters later Jason Bartlett plated Forsythe with a RBI single. After a pitching change Cameron Maybin doubled in Bartlett to make it 7-0 after 4. The next inning the Pads opened there lead even more when Forsythe single in Blanks and Venable tripled in Hundley and Forsythe. The Marlins did have one highlight last night and that was when Jose Lopez lauched a ball 360 feet over the left field wall. The Pads quickly got that run back and more when Hudson singled in Maybin. Then Blanks knocked in Jesus Guzman with a sac fly. Finally, the offense ended with a 2 run homer (378 feet) from Nick Hundley making it 14-1 after 6. That's how the game ended. Aaron Harang pitched great getting his 12th win of the season while Clay Hensley is now 1-5.

Game 4's pitching matchup has Cory Luebke (5-6 2.99 ERA) face out against Anibal Sanchez (7-6 3.97 ERA).
